I have been practising as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Brunei for the last 15 years with 10-year expertise in Sports & Exercise Medicine.

I have done Masters degrees in Orthopaedics from India and UK. I also have Graduate Diploma and Masters in Sports Medicine from Australia and a certificate in Rheumatology from the US.

I strongly believe in lifestyle modification along with the use of Regenerative Medicine for the non-surgical management of Osteoarthritis. I now have extensive experience in Visco-supplementation and platelet-rich plasma injections (PRP) for Osteoarthritis joint and tendon pathologies. I am passionate about Musculoskeletal Problems in Women like Osteoporosis, Pregnancy-related MSK problems and RED-S in female athletes

Associate Professor Parker is a nationally and internationally recognised specialist in disorders and surgery of the knee joint. He has particular interests in computer assisted and robotic knee replacement surgery, sports injuries and ligament reconstruction surgery, as well as surgery to realign and restore the knee joint. His elective surgical practice focuses exclusively on the knee joint, and he also has a strong interest in nonsurgical management of knee arthritis, and has recently established a multidisciplinary clinic for this in Sydney.

Associate Professor Parker completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney and spent 2 years studying overseas in world-renowned institutions to further his knowledge and training, specifically in the area of knee surgery. He began practice in Sydney in late 2001.

Having established the Sydney Orthopaedic Research Institute in 2002, Associate Professor Parker has subsequently become known internationally for his research into surgery of the knee joint. He has given over 100 original research presentations and invited presentations at national and international conferences. He has over 100 publications, including peer reviewed articles in prestigious orthopaedic journals, and chapters for orthopaedic textbooks. He is on the editorial board for several journals including JISAKOS, AJSM, OJSM, and AP-SMART.

Associate Professor Parker is actively involved in a number of international orthopaedic and sports medicine organisations, including being the current 2nd vice-president of the International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), Past President of the Asia Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS), and a board member of the International Anterior Cruciate Ligament Study Group. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney.

Andrea Pettett is the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association, a position she has held since February 2016. She has held many roles in the NZ Healthcare Industry including General Manager Medibank Health Solutions NZ, Chief Executive Central TAS, Chief Executive NZ Health IT Cluster, Executive Director Health Funds Association of NZ, and Chief Executive of the New Zealand General Practitioners’ Association. Andrea has also worked as a consultant for the Accident Competition Implementation Office involved in the reform of ACC, and for The Health, Quality and Safety Commission.
Prior to joining the health sector, Andrea worked as a Patent Attorney specialising in biotechnology and pharmaceutical patents. Andrea is a former Chairperson of the Board of Wellington Free Ambulance. She has also held roles as a Director of Central Emergency Communications Ltd, a Trustee of Life Flight Trust, an Executive member of HINZ, and a member of HISAC. Her qualifications include an Honours degree in biochemistry, a law degree, and she is a qualified Patent Attorney.
